The Dripping Baguettes celebrate their 25th anniversary in their 26th year at the Smoking Dog for Fete De La Musique 2023.

Once upon a time, before sauce blanche, we were the kings of. Rehearsing and cursing in the land of forty the baguette first dripped. Slowly at first, then was a torrent as the baguette grew large from the ?Rock to the ?Dog. First on the stage it's ?lastic legs Mikey, as deaf as a post and as blind as can be. Guitar on his shoulder, lest he forget the crumpet in the altogether - (Get in the bath, we all had a giraffe!) Next up is Dan with his bass in his hand. A bout de souffle? I nearly was, what a whinger, these days quite rightly he's less of the ninja - and ?e nearly broke all our ?earts.... ?Ello, here's Al-boy, mad guitar look in his eye. He's the crème de la menthe and that's no PORKY-pie. O gawd it's Newton's Cradle in the flesh, Simon, sat down on his chair, thwackin' about with his bag flung over his shoulder a la Dick Whittington, all the way from Grinstead to Lyon instead. Last up is Rob, the old barra' boy. His t-shirt is tight now but he'll still bring you joy. One last hurrah in the old stamping ground, come listen me chinas to the old baguette sound. We'll rip it and tear it and leave it in shreds, then we'll go for the what...? (As someone once said).
